These terms and conditions apply to the use of this Website, and by accessing this Website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions you may not use this website. If you have any questions relating to these terms and conditions then please contact Customer Service by emailing info@preservationequipment.com.

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes take effect immediately, therefore it is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions each time you use this website.

We accept payment via Visa, MasterCard, Visa Delta and Switch Maestro credit / debit cards via this website. We regret we are not able to accept American Express, Solo or Electron debit cards. If you prefer to pay by cheque, please contact us via email to sales@preservationequipment.com or by telephoning 01379 647400 for a full order quotation including delivery and VAT.

On placing your order you will receive an automatically generated email to inform you we have received your order. This is not an order acknowledgement, nor does it constitute acceptance of your order. Once your order has been accepted and delivery time is known, we will email you an order acknowledgement detailing expected despatch date. Our offices are open from Monday-Friday 8.30am until 5PM, therefore no acknowledgement will be sent outside these times.

We endeavour to process all orders within 28 days. Generally orders are despatched within one week of receipt.

COLLECTIONS

If you wish to collect your order please phone 01379 647400 to ensure that the products are available and that your order is ready for collection.

Delivery cost within the UK Mainland only (excluding postcodes: FK17 -99, G83, IV1-28, IV33-39, KW1-14, PA21-33, PA35-40, PH18-26, PH30-42, HS1-9, IV40-51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE1-3) is £10.00. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays between 9am and 5pm. Regrettably we are not able to offer a Saturday delivery service.

Should your order include extra large or heavy items we will contact you before processing your order to provide delivery quotation. For deliveries outside of the UK mainland, just process your order as if a standard shipping charge applies and a sales person will contact you with a specific price for the shipping before despatch of the order.

No goods will be accepted for return without prior authorisation, therefore please contact us before returning any goods. Any goods returned due to no fault of Preservation Equipment Ltd are liable to a 20% handling charge. No returned goods can be refunded unless in perfect condition.

Claims for damage caused in transit, or incorrect deliveries must be notified to Preservation Equipment Ltd., in writing, within 3 days of receipt of the delivery.

Every care is taken to maintain the highest standard of quality. Preservation Equipment Ltd wish to make it clearly understood that it is the users' responsibility to ensure that the goods purchased are suitable for the intended purpose. No guarantee is given or implied that any product we supply is fit for any particular purpose, and our liability is strictly limited to the invoice value of the items concerned.

We will allow credit to most archives, museums, libraries, colleges, universities and other public institutions. Private institutions and business firms may also open accounts with appropriate credit references, this is conditional upon a yearly spend of at least £500.00 per year.

Prices are subject to revision without notice and are exclusive of VAT. All price changes will be published on this website.

We export orders to all over the world, however currently we are only able to accept online orders from UK and Europe. If you live outside these areas, please contact us via email to sales@preservationequipment.com, or alternatively use our online feedback form, detailing the product codes and quantities of the items required, together with the delivery address. We will then be pleased to contact you with a full quotation including delivery costs.

The prices shown on this website do not include VAT. VAT is chargeable at 20% on all UK orders, and all orders sent to EC countries where a VAT number is not supplied by the customer. VAT will be calculated automatically and shown on the "checkout" page. A VAT receipt will also be sent via mail the day following despatch of the goods.

In order to place an order using this site you must first register, and provide a password. Information provided by you on this website must be accurate and complete. In the event that you have any concerns about your password details, or you become aware of any misuse please inform us immediately.

We guarantee that information supplied by you in the process of signing up for our online ordering facility will not be supplied to third parties, nor will it be used for marketing purposes.

PEL operates from a purpose built distribution centre that does not have facilities to recieve visitors. We wish to advise you that our sales and order processing department are unable to process orders for personal collection.
