Japanese Brushes

Small Japanese brushes used in conservation repair.

The wooden handle lies across the fingers and between the thumb allowing a natural brushing stroke.

Made from the softest selected sheep hair or firmer horse hair.

55mm in width.

Please note: Some initial bristle loss is expected with natural hair brushes, this can be reduced by combing and manipulating the brush head before use. Simple steps can help maintain your brush's life; Wash with water after use (hot water is also possible if the glue has hardened, after washing, soak in water for about 30 minutes, drain thoroughly and hang with bristles facing down to dry thoroughly.
